Can’t find the right place to put this – BUT – Jonathon Lea, who donated the land for the Wesleyan Methodist Chapel in St Georges St owned Rutland House, on the corner. In 1838 this house was run as Rutland House Academy by William Henry Childe who later added Hughes to his name.
